Event 3
Bosworth Bullets, Carsington Comets, Notts County Outlaws and Pitsford Pirates fielded strong teams, with Alice Butts the sole entry from the Rutland Rockets. The largest fleet of the day was the 3.5m class, with 14 entries and pleasingly many first timers. The sailors were split on to three separate courses and straight away the top places were claimed by the Bullets and Comets.
Robyn Robinson of Bosworth had a great day, taking first in the largest 3.5m class with Sophie Archer from Pitsford scoring an excellent 2nd place at only her 2nd T15 event. Meanwhile the 4.5m class saw Dale Burgess, Tom Owen and Charlie Money battling for victory with each taking firsts and after 8 races being separated by only 3 points. Dales cool consistency took the day with Tom finishing 2 points behind and Charlie one point behind him.
Theo Hempshall of the Carsington Comets sailed in the 6.8 Open Class unopposed but still put in a great performance to take the Comets up the leader board. On the main course Josh Leadbetter, Matthew Brown and Kieran Martin with Josh taking a comfortable lead with Matthew and Kieran neck and neck all day to be finally equal on points and Matthew taking second on discard. Great to see so may new faces and another victory for the Bosworth Bullets places them top on the team leader board followed by the Carsington Comets, but with the final event in September nothing is certain yet.

Some of the initiatives have a relevance to windsurfers - especially in achieving cleaner seas and beaches.
