Event 1 James Hamilton Heritage Park, East Kilbride Saturday 11 June 2005
Barracudas snap victory... Things were pretty hot on 11th June at James Hamilton Heritage Park (JHHP), the East Kilbride Eagles (sponsored by Tushingham) were up for some serious action, and the Clyde Barracudas (sponsored by Bic) have been putting in some extra coaching to ensure they had the top spot! Not only that, but the sun finally decided to join in with the summer in Scotland, which made the venue nice and hot, though decidedly lacking in wind... Not deterred, the race organiser, Andy Kerr, set courses that kept everyone entertained and busy, making sure that all sailors got the chance to compete, and keeping it fun.
| The Eagles put in a spirited performance, with several members of the team making some pretty good finishes, and but the Clyde Barracudas and in particular, Jordan, who convincingly took top place on the day, and thereby gave the Barracudas the edge. |

The event was hosted by JHHP, South Lanarkshire, and all the team15 clubs and RYA Scotland are very grateful for their hospitality. Thanks to all the parents who came along and supported the kids – it was great to see your support.
Next event The next event will take place at Lochwinnoch, but the date is to be confirmed - please watch this space for more information.

ADOPT-A-BEACH

The Green Blue is an environmental awareness initiative by the British Marine Federation and the Royal Yachting Association. One of its aims is to educate and promote the sustainable use of coastal and inland waters by watersports participants.
Some of the initiatives have a relevance to windsurfers - especially in achieving cleaner seas and beaches.
Adopt-a-Beach is definitely relevant to T15ers, which is a Marine Conservation Society project supported by the Green Blue.
