TIREE WAVE CLASSIC T15 EVENT Posted On: 12/09/2008 9:58:14 AM | |
Running alongside the Tiree Wave Classic over the past couple of years is the Tiree T15 event and this year is no exception. The organisers of the Classic are once again inviting sailors from T15 clubs in Scotland and further afield to join them on Wednesday 15th October 2008 at Loch Bhasapol on the Isle of Tiree. This fun event will have extra categories for younger windsurfers and there will be a bit of coaching from pro windsurfers, followed by a prize giving in the evening. You will need to make you own way there with your parents, but Tiree is a beautiful spot and generally pretty windy. A T15 event with a difference, so join in if you fancy. ADOPT-A-BEACH
The Green Blue is an environmental awareness initiative by the British Marine Federation and the Royal Yachting Association. One of its aims is to educate and promote the sustainable use of coastal and inland waters by watersports participants.
Some of the initiatives have a relevance to windsurfers - especially in achieving cleaner seas and beaches.
Adopt-a-Beach is definitely relevant to T15ers, which is a Marine Conservation Society project supported by the Green Blue.
