JOIN IN WITH NATIONAL WINDSURFING WEEK
Posted On:  22/04/2008 11:38:26 AM

As part of National Windsurfing Week (3rd - 11 May), windsurfing activities will be taking place across the country and will include taster sessions for newcomers. Why not encourage your school friends to try windsurfing during this week and then they can join you at your local T15 club? Or perhaps your mum or dad would like to learn - there's beginners sessions for adults too.

Loads of windsurfing activities are planned and not all are aimed at the beginner; there's something for those already involved in the sport too. Visit the the National Windsurfing Week website for full details.

ADOPT-A-BEACH

The Green Blue is an environmental awareness initiative by the British Marine Federation and the Royal Yachting Association. One of its aims is to educate and promote the sustainable use of coastal and inland waters by watersports participants.

Some of the initiatives have a relevance to windsurfers - especially in achieving cleaner seas and beaches.

Adopt-a-Beach is definitely relevant to T15ers, which is a Marine Conservation Society project supported by the Green Blue.
